Chemistry Laboratory

Our purpose built chemistry laboratory utilize both traditional and modern techniques and equipment such as titration, flame photometry, DUMAS, GC & HPLC.

We offer a range of analysis such as nutritional testing, meat content, added water, meat speciation, allergens, preservative and shelf life parameter testing.

NUTRITIONAL TESTING

We offer Group 1 and Group 2 nutritional testing to ensure you can declare the correct nutritional information for your products. Tests performed and calculated include: Protein, Moisture, Fat, Ash, Carbohydrates, Saturates, Sugars, Sodium, Dietary Fibre & Energy Value.

SHELF LIFE PARAMETER TESTING

We can offer additional chemical tests such as pH, salt, moisture, water activity, FFA, PV, nitrates, Nitrites and SO2 in order to further validate the shelf life of your products. We also offer full shelf life trials, end of life testing and accelerated shelf life testing in order to establish the shelf life of your products. MEAT CONTENT & ADDED WATER

We offer Meat Content and Added water testing to ensure you can declare the correct information for your products. Tests performed and calculated include: Protein, Moisture, Fat, Ash, Carbohydrates, Lean Meat, Total Meat, Sodium as Salt & Added Water.

MEAT SPECIATION & ALLERGENS

We can offer Meat Speciation testing by PCR in order to validate your cleaning processes and ensure product integrity. Speciation testing is performed in house or subcontracted. We also offer a range of allergen testing in order validate cleaning processes and ensure correct allergen declarations are made. We currently subcontract our Allergen testing.
